AMT was founded in 2008 with the invention of our continuous flow microwave technology. Now with over 10 years of continuous product development and experience we are working to apply the technology to a variety of industrial processes.

The Invention

Our founder Dr. Zadyraka conceived of the idea for our continuous flow microwave technology as a way to heat up liquid streams in flow conditions. At its core, product travels through a pipe, and as such it can be used for almost any pump-able liquid or solid suspension. This led Dr. Zadyraka and his team to investigate how this technology can be used to improve food & drink processing, thus forming the basis of the business today.

The Development

AMT’s core application lies in pasteurising food and drink products for increased shelf life and better taste. The technology is well suited to this market as it has been easy to integrate into client sites and has provided our customers with increased flexibility for their product lines.

Over the years the AMT team has worked to scale up the original design (now at 10 tonne/hr). In this time the team developed considerable experience at pilot scale trials before deploying devices commercially.

The Future

As we continue to expand in the market of food and drink we are also extending into other major applications for the continuous flow microwave technology. We are working on a number of R&D projects in the areas of: fermentation pre-treatment, microwave assisted reactions and microwave enhanced extraction (MAE).
